Arteriosclerosis of the extremities is the outcome of hardening of the arteries that supply blood of the legs and feet. Due to narrowing of the arteries, the vessels do not open properly and become less elastic. Calcium starts depositing in the arteries’ walls, thereby contributing towards further narrowing and stiffness of the arteries.
