Aortic Arch Syndrome
It is a condition in which structural problem arises in the aortic arch (in arteries) due to which arch becomes inflamed. The problems of the condition are commonly associated with blood clots, trauma, etc that normally develop after birth. Due to the defect in the arteries, abnormal blood flow takes place in neck, arms, etc. It is a rare disease that affects women under the age of 40 years. Subclavian artery occlusive syndrome; Subclavian steal syndrome; Carotid artery occlusion syndrome and Vertebral-basilar artery occlusive syndrome are alternative names of the condition. Children, suffer from multiple types of aortic arch syndromes like:
- Congenital absence of branch of the aorta
